Dearly Beloved in the Lord, Emmanuel – God with Us,

As the Chairman of Emmanuel Methodist Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Pudur, Chennai, I am delighted to extend my warm greetings to you all.

From its inception, one of the hallmarks of the Methodist Church has been to serve the Lord through education. The first Christian school for women in South Asia was established in Lucknow by the American Methodist woman missionary, Isabella Thoburn. That institution later became an important unit of the Methodist Church in India.

It gives us immense joy to know that Emmanuel Methodist Matriculation Higher Secondary School has been nurturing thousands of students who stand as true pillars of witness in society. It is indeed gratifying to note that both Emmanuel Methodist Tamil Church and Emmanuel Methodist School, Pudur pioneered by Emmanuel Methodist Church, Vepery, Chennai, have made a significant contribution to the socio-economic and educational growth of this locality.

We place on record our sincere appreciation to the Principal and to all the teaching and non-teaching staff for their dedicated and committed service.

Emmanuel Methodist School, Pudur, remains committed to discipline, life values, and moral virtues. We firmly believe that “the intention of education is to educate intentions.”
