The Emmanuel Methodist Hr Sec School, Pudur is an esteemed institution of the Chennai Regional Conference of the Methodist Church in India.

Established in the year 1974 with the vision of giving holistic education, EMMS commenced her journey through the initiative of the Missions Committee of the Emmanuel Methodist Church, Vepery, Chennai. The humble beginning from a thatched shed, it became the first English Medium school in the vicinity of Pudur. The history of the Emmanuel (meaning ‘God with us’) School bears such vibrant testimony to the faithfulness and the goodness of God!!!

Today, the EMMS is marching on with steadfast determination to hold aloft the glorious legacy of imparting quality education to all irrespective of caste, creed or color.

Educating the students to acquire knowledge is vital for any educational institution, yet inculcating and instilling good values in the young lives of our wards to become responsible and contributing members of the society is a far more essential bedrock of our School. Proverbs 22:6 states, “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”  EMMS being a Christian Mission school endeavours to equip our students in every way to become worthy citizens of our beloved country. I congratulate the Management, Staff, the Donors and the well-wishers who are journeying together to make our students to shine and serve in diverse fields not only in India but also globally.

Through this website of the School we aim to not only disseminate info on the regular activities of our School but also we wish to get connected with all our past students, well wishers and all stakeholders of the EMMS so that the ministry of literacy and education through the Emmanuel School here at Pudur continues to thrive and glorifies God.
